Metaglue launches MXFactory V3 with 3D support for Avid files (1/7/2010)

Pioneering MXF and metadata company Metaglue Corporation Corporation has announced the immediate availability of MXFactory™ Version 3. MXFactory creates Avid compatible MXF files from a wide range of video formats. It can be used as both a stand-alone system and in integrated workflows to speed up the ingest process.

Neil Dunstan Head of Sales and Marketing comments, "MXFactory V3 represents a major advance in feature set which has been driven by the increasing use of 3D stereoscopic material. Also included are Aux Ink column support and the ability to drag and drop AAF files into Media Composer® bins; in addition we have been able to improve colorimetry and quality of Avid DNxHD® material and can now accept either a 601 or RGB input. V3 also allows our client to select the speed and quality of Avid DNxHD encode."

Initial shipments of MXFactory V3 are already in use at facilities creating 3D content and also re versioning existing 2D material.
